The setting is England in 1256. King Arthur founds the Round Table and wants to have a round table built for this purpose. But his Hessian- speaking carpenter complicates the job until Arthur turns away from him. In the next scene, the carpenter Robin Hood discusses the pitfalls of building a house on trees, and thus also drives away this potential client.
