The best so far The Christmas Festival of Rock Music ( Split CD with City )
(2003)

The best so far is the first best-of album (and the eighth album in total) by the German rock music group Keimzeit . It was released on September 30, 2002.

The band only found out about the planned release of the best-of album by their former record company BMG through an insider tip, as the same graphic designer as for the regular Keimzeit albums was hired for the cover design : Walter Welke alias Geboren Thielsch . However, the band could not defend themselves against the unwanted release, since the rights of the previous studio recordings were with BMG. The best of album hit stores just 7 days after 1000 people like me . Both albums hindered each other's sales.

The first 18 of the total of 19 tracks offer a cross-section of the band's musical work since the first radio recordings in 1988. At least two tracks are represented from each of the six studio albums published by BMG up to then - from the last two BMG albums Im electromagnetic field and Smart and relaxed, there are even 4 titles waiting for you .

The last song is a cover version of the title Marleen , with which Marianne Rosenberg had one of her greatest hits. The song in the version of Keimzeit was first published on the sampler Pop 2001 - Geschichte wird Made (2001), but had not yet appeared on a Keimzeit album.

On the back of the cover, there are small differences in the names of two titles: A beautiful day was called on the original album ( Smart and relaxed waiting , 2000) Beautiful day (without indefinite article), airplane without wheels was called on the original Album ( Madhouse , 1990) only planes .
