The confectioner Otto Kimmel is now retired. Kimmel lives with three generations of the family in one house. Otto is a very lively person and he can think of all kinds of jokes. His wife Martha gives in when his sense of humor becomes too great. The film is a TV show that shows the funny everyday life of the pensioner and his relatives.
