Hans Krause (cabaret artist)

Hans Krause (born March 22, 1924 in Berlin ; † November 20, 2015 there ) was a German actor , author , satirist and cabaret artist .

Life

Hans Krause passed a secondary school diploma in 1942 and was then a soldier for a year. He was arrested for " degrading military strength ", but was able to escape after two years in prison and hide in the Spreewald until the end of World War II . In 1948 he attended drama school.

He began his career in 1950 as an actor at the Deutsches Theater Berlin . He only gained fame as a cabaret artist and satirical author. He was a founding member and from 1958 to 1963 director of the cabaret Die Distel , for which he revived the figure of Kuddeldaddeldu by Joachim Ringelnatz . During his time at Distel, Krause wrote 385 Kuddeldaddeldu texts for the actor Heinz Draehn . He also appeared in the cabaret Small Stage . Krause also wrote for the satirical magazine Eulenspiegel and book chapters. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, he wrote pieces for the comedy Marzahn , such as the cabaret farce Captain remain on board based on an idea by Draehn that was on the program in 1995.
