Two German-speaking emigrants emigrate from Bremerhaven to the USA together around 1850 . Thanks to financial help from Konrad's uncle Johann Biland in New York, both, the Swabian gunsmith Heinrich Mansfeld, and the Swiss brewery giant Konrad Obermatt, seem to have a secure future as the operator of a hardware store.
