The girl next door is a German silent film fun play by Otto Rippert with Hella Moja in the title role.
action
The girl next door, that is the young Countess Hella, a bubbly, cheerful young lady who immediately sheds the etiquette she has learned in rural surroundings - not necessarily to the delight of her parents. In order to drive out the nonsense of the Miss Daughter, her father has already picked out a young man who is appropriate for her. She gets to know that young prince in the disguise of a dashing farm boy and falls in love with the unconventional young man, who appears just as relaxed and lively as she does. This contrast between stiff court ceremonies and unconstrained lust for the countryside gives rise to all sorts of cheerful incidents until the young happiness finally finds itself and one sinks into each other's arms.
Production notes
