Dave Hunt (* in Solihull , England ) is a British musician who is best known for his engagement with the bands Benediction and Anaal Nathrakh .

In 1998 he joined the death metal band Benediction, succeeding Dave Ingram. With Benediction he recorded the albums Organized Chaos and Killing Music , which were released in 2001 and 2008, respectively, on the Nuclear Blast record label . In 1999 he founded the metal band Anaal Nathrakh together with Mick Kenney (aka Irrumator). There he used the pseudonym VITRIOL. He was also the singer of the sludge / grindcore band Mistress and played the electric bass in live performances by the band Fukpig. In both bands he appeared under the name Dave Cunt. While Hunt only uses guttural vocals with Benediction , he has also increasingly used clear vocals with Anaal Nathrakh since the album Eschaton .

“The nice thing about the songs with this vocals is that they work wonderfully live, and that also coincides with my personal experiences when I go to concerts by other bands. I love it when Disgorge or Brodequin lash out without mercy, but when I go to festivals, it is above all the daring and experimental bands that make the difference. "

- Dave Hunt

From 2011 to 2012 Hunt wrote a column for the British music magazine Terrorizer .
