David Arias Pérez
David Arias Pérez OAR (born July 22, 1929 in Mataluenga , León province , Spain , † May 9, 2019 ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and auxiliary bishop in Newark .
Life
David Arias Pérez joined the order of the Augustinian recollects and was ordained a priest on May 29, 1954 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Badiae and auxiliary bishop in Newark on January 25, 1983 . The episcopal ordination donated him the Archbishop of Newark, Peter Leo Gerety , on April 7th of the same year; Co-consecrators were Joseph Thomas O'Keefe , Auxiliary Bishop in New York , and Alphonse Gallegos OAR, Auxiliary Bishop in Sacramento .
On May 21, 2004, John Paul II accepted his resignation due to reasons of age.
