David Berbotto (born July 7, 1980 in Alba , Piedmont ) is an Italian swimmer .

Career

He mainly swims medium and long freestyle distances , which is why he is often used for Italy in the relay. Berbotto lives in his native town of Alba. His greatest success so far is winning the gold medal in the 4 × 200 m freestyle at the 2006 European Swimming Championships in Budapest . He and his colleagues undercut the five-year-old European record of another Italian season by 1.26 seconds in this decision.
