David Cancola (born October 23, 1996 ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Cancola started his career at SZ Marswiese . In 2004 he moved to First Vienna FC . Between 2005 and 2007 he played for DSV Fortuna 05 before returning to Vienna.

In 2010 he came to the academy of FK Austria Vienna . With the U-19 team of Austria he played in the 2013/14 season in the UEFA Youth League . For the 2014/15 season he moved up to the amateur squad. He made his debut for Austria II in the Regionalliga in September 2014 when he came on as a substitute for Ercan Kara on the eighth day of that season against SKN St. Pölten Juniors in the 55th minute .

In May 2017 Cancola was in the professional squad for the first time against SV Ried . He made his debut for the professionals of Austria in August 2017 when he was brought into play for David de Paula in the first leg of the playoffs of the Europa League qualification against NK Osijek in stoppage time . In the same month he also made his debut in the Bundesliga when he came on as a substitute for Dominik Prokop on matchday five of the 2017/18 season against SV Mattersburg in added time .

In the same month he was awarded as a cooperation player to the second division club SC Wiener Neustadt . In February 2019 he moved to Bundesliga club TSV Hartberg , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2020. In one and a half years at Hartberg, he made 39 Bundesliga appearances for Styria, in which he scored three goals. After his contract ended, he left the club after the 2019/20 season.
