David Christopher McGough

David Christopher McGough (born November 20, 1944 in Stoke-on-Trent ) is a British clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Birmingham .

Life

David Christopher McGough received on 14 March 1970, the sacrament of holy orders and was in the clergy of the Archdiocese of Birmingham incardinated .

On October 25, 2005 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Chunavia and ordered him auxiliary bishop in Birmingham. The Archbishop of Birmingham, Vincent Nichols , ordained him episcopal on December 8 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the auxiliary bishop at Birmingham, Philip Pargeter , and the bishop of Salford , Terence Brain .

The auxiliary bishop has been called to serve as an adviser to the Vox Clara committee.

On March 18, 2020, Pope Francis accepted David Christopher McGough's resignation due to reasons of age.
