David Hansen (born January 8, 1991 in Düsseldorf ) is a German handball player .

Career

David Hansen began his handball career at Mettmanner TV . He later moved to HSG Düsseldorf , with whom he won the German A youth championship in the 2009/10 season and made his first appearances in the handball Bundesliga during the same season . In 2011 the 1.93 meter tall back player went to the second team of SC Magdeburg , for which he played in the third division . A year later he joined the second division EHV Aue , from which he moved to TUSEM Essen for the 2014/15 season, which he left for the 2015/16 season due to a lack of game shares in his position. He then signed a contract with Leichlinger TV . For the 2018/19 season he moved to HSG Krefeld . In November 2019, his contract was terminated by mutual agreement.

Hansen was part of the German junior and youth national team.
