Career

societies

Hellebuyck began his professional career in the summer of 1998 at Olympique Lyon . Previously, he had been with the Lyons youth department since 1995. At the end of the season the club was top notch. But after only six months, Hellybuyck decided to switch again and went to Lausanne-Sports in Switzerland for the new season . Although a regular player, he did not stay there for long and moved back to France a year later, where he joined AS Saint-Étienne . He remained loyal to ASSE for five years. With her he was able to celebrate the promotion from Ligue 2 to the top French league in 2003/04. For the 2006/07 season there was an exchange of players between Saint-Étienne and Paris Saint-Germain. Hellebuyck signed a contract with the Paris capital club and in return Christophe Landrin moved to the Stéphanois . In the summer of 2007 he moved to the league competitor OGC Nice, for whom he played until he ended his career in the summer of 2012.
