David Hiler

David Hiler (born June 18, 1955 , resident in Geneva and Kappel ) is a Swiss politician ( GPS ).

Hiler holds a degree in economics , social sciences and economic history from the University of Geneva . He later worked as a teacher at the orientation level and then as a lecturer at the university. Today he works as a historian .

His first political office was the municipal council mandate in the city of Geneva . In 1993 he was elected to the Grand Council of the Canton of Geneva . Until his election to the State Council of Geneva on November 13, 2005, he also held this office. In the State Council he is responsible for the finance department until December 13, 2013. In the 2007/08 year of office he was Vice and 2008/09 President of the Council of State.

Hiler is married and has three children. He lives in Geneva.
