David Hudson is an Australian visual artist and musician , a didgeridoo - a virtuoso of the Aborigines .

David Hudson is a member of the Ewamin (oo-rah-min) / Western Yalangi tribe from the area northwest of Cairns , in Queensland in northern Australia .

He is one of the most successful representatives of a modern style of Aboriginal music. His preferred instrument is the didgeridoo . He has enjoyed worldwide success since the late 1980s and has released 26 albums to date. He has played on many tours in Asia, America, Europe and also in such unusual places as the Taj Mahal and the Forbidden City in China. In Germany he appeared in 1993 at the opening ceremony of the 4th World Athletics Championships in Stuttgart.

David Hudson himself describes his compositions as contemporary world music with a strong traditional influence.

In addition to music, David is also recognized worldwide as a dancer and entertainer. From 1987 to 1992 he worked at the Tjapukai Dance Theater in Kuranda. The show was recognized in the Guinness Book of Records as Australia's longest-running theater show.

He also took on roles in various television series and films, including a. in The Island of Doctor Moreau at the side of Marlon Brando .

David is also active in the field of painting and has already exhibited several works.

The highly committed artist is just as active in many cultural areas and social work as he is in politics and working for the rights of the Aborigines and human rights .
