David Mateos Ramajo (born April 22, 1987 in Madrid ) is a Spanish football player . Mostly he plays in central defense , occasionally also in defensive midfield .

Career

David Mateos began his career in the youth team at Real Madrid , where he spent all of his junior years with the exception of a loan year at DAV Santa Ana . In the 2005/06 season he won the Copa de Campeones , the Spanish U-19 club championship, with Real Madrid's A-youth . In the summer of 2007 he was promoted to the second team of the Real Madrid Castilla club , with whom he played in the Segunda División B for three years . Mateos made his debut in the first team of the “Royal” on November 23, 2010 in the Champions League group stage against Ajax Amsterdam . In January 2011 Mateos was loaned to the Greek first division club AEK Athens until the end of the season. This season he played and won both the Copa del Rey with Real Madrid and the Greek Football Cup with AEK Athens. In the 2011/12 season Mateos was loaned to Real Saragossa , for the Aragonese he played 14 league and one cup games . In the summer of 2012 he returned to Real Madrid Castilla.

On September 2, 2013 Mateos signed for three years with the Hungarian record champions Ferencváros .
