With an average gain of more than 7.5  yards per run, he was one of the best running backs in the top German GFL division . In the 2010 game year he was in the service of the Adler's city rival, the Berlin Rebels , also in the GFL.

In May 2011 McCants moved to the second division Hamburg Blue Devils , after a move to the Canadian league CFL had not come about. McCants was instrumental in ensuring that the Hamburgers succeeded in the first division promotion. In the 2012 season he played for the Düsseldorf Panther and was one of the best players in the running back position in the GFL. At the beginning of February 2013, the Brunswick team New Yorker Lions announced the commitment of the 1.73 meter long McCant. With the Lower Saxony, he won the German championship in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2019 (in 2009 and 2017 he was named the best player of the final) as well as the Eurobowl in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 . He also reached the latter game with Braunschweig in 2014, but had to admit defeat with his team as in the final of the 2017 German championship. The 2019 season, in which McCants also played in Braunschweig before missing the final phase of the season with an injury, was the last of his career. During his time in Braunschweig he reached 740 points, which put him in fourth place in the team's all-time best list. His 123 touchdowns were the third best value in the club's history at the time of his retirement. In addition, McCants ran a total of 11,775 yards for the Braunschweiger. The American, who was also involved as a coach in the school sponsorship of the Braunschweig club during his playing days, was announced at the end of 2019 as a new member of the Braunschweig U19 team's coaching staff to take on the young players' running attack.
