David Omiti Makori

David Omiti Makori (born November 6, 1973 in Kisii ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specializes in road running.

In 2000 and 2001 he won both the Portugal half marathon and the Marseille - Cassis race and set the current course record of 2:08:49 hours in the Venice marathon , which is also his personal best. In 2006 he missed victory at the Maratona d'Italia by a second .

Makori is 1.78 m tall and weighs 63 kg. He is trained by Renato Canova and supervised by the Italian manager Gianni Demadonna .
