Davide Ferrario (born May 26, 1956 in Casalmaggiore ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter .

Life

After studying American and English literature, Ferrario initially worked as a film critic and was editor of the "Cineforum", author (including on Rainer Werner Fassbinder ) and copywriter. In addition, he staged music videos. In 1986 he delivered his first feature film script; In collaboration with John Sayles the 45 ° parallel rotated by Attilio Concari was created . After a short film , he made his debut in 1989, La fine della notte , which he not only wrote, but in which he also took on a role as an interpreter. Five years later, Ferrario turned to comedy , followed by a film adaptation of a novel by Giuseppe Culicchia . In the new millennium, Ferrario switched between working as a documentary filmmaker and feature films. His Dopo mezzanotte , created in 2004, was awarded a David di Donatello .

His first novel is entitled Dissolvenza al nero (English: Roman mask game ).
