The Dayracer 29 was developed by sailormade Yachting in Hamburg, designed by the Swiss designer Christian Bolinger and is built by the North German shipyard "Dynamic Elements GmbH" in Fahrdorf near Schleswig.

concept

The Dayracer 29 is a so-called daysailer , i. H. the concept is geared towards crews who only sail during the day or who spend a maximum of one or two nights on the boat.

The class concept was presented in the trade press in 2004 and was particularly popular in Germany. But it then took more than 3 years until the prototype, equipped with a hydraulic canting keel , actually swam in the Flensburg Fjord . After extensive tests, the construction was optimized and in January 2010 the boat with the construction number 2 was shown for the first time at the Boot in Düsseldorf.

The special features of the Dayracer 29 are the trailerability , the lines, the large cockpit and the minimalist interior, which in addition to sleeping for 2 adults also includes an electric toilet, a refrigerator and a hi-fi system.

Hull and deck

The hull and deck are made of EPOXID resins in vacuum composite technology with biaxial and unidirectional glass fabrics using high-strength, lightweight foam core material.

Under deck

The interior includes at least 2 bench seats with back cushions, a so-called dog bunk and a toilet room with an electric toilet. The colors and fabrics of the upholstery can be chosen relatively freely. The interior is equipped with various LED lamps . A table integrated into the floor structure can be pushed up and locked on the inserted mast.

Sails

The standard sails include a fully battened mainsail and a furling genoa . Optionally, a self-tacking jib as well as gennakers and spinnakers of different sizes can be used.

Furnishing

The standard equipment includes LED navigation lights, folding cleats and high-quality winches and blocks, in particular a carbon mast , a carbon tiller and 3 lockers for various accessories such as sails, mooring lines and life jackets. There is a separate net in a box in the cockpit floor for the fenders .

The Dayracer29 is optionally available with a hydraulic lifting keel (depth 1.20 m) and with a hydraulic canting keel.
