The Dayton Jets were an American ice hockey franchise of the All-American Hockey League based in Dayton , Ohio .

history

The Dayton Jets joined the Continental Hockey League in 1985 as an expansion team, which disbanded a year later. Then the team took up the 1986/87 season as one of five founding members to play in their successor league, the All-American Hockey League . In their only season, the Jets scored 27 points in 32 games and finished fourth after the regular season. The franchise was then merged with league rivals Troy Sabers and from then on played under the name Miami Valley Sabers .
