The Downriver Stars were an American ice hockey franchise of the All-American Hockey League based in Trenton , Michigan .

history

The Downriver Stars took up the 1986/87 season as one of five founding members to play in the All-American Hockey League . In their inaugural season, the Stars took second place in the regular season. For the following season , the team changed their name to Michigan Stars for marketing reasons, but could not raise the necessary financial resources to maintain the game operations, so the team stopped playing on November 30, 1987 and the franchise was then dissolved.
