action
The nurse Jenny Todd has problems at work. After work, she meets computer expert Ed Lautner in the parking garage, whose car is broken. Todd takes him; later she takes two other people with her, including her little niece.
On the highway, Todd notices that her car's accelerator is stuck. Attempts to turn off the engine fail. One tries to hand the child over in a police car. The police undertake a rescue operation from the air.
The car is approaching a bascule bridge that is supposed to be opened, which her operator Willie Mae refuses, given the expected passage of the car. The car drives through and in the end the fuel runs out.
Reviews
- Prisma-Online : The action thriller breaks "any technical logic (have you ever heard of engine braking and stalling?)", But still offers "good entertainment" thanks to a solid pinch of self-irony and good action scenes.
Trivia
The pilot film for the fourth season of the German action series Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei is an almost exact copy of the film Deadly Speed . It bears the title Höllenfahrt auf der A4 and was created under the director Raoul W. Heimrich .
