J. Peter Robinson
John Peter Robinson (born September 16, 1945 in Fulmer , Buckinghamshire , England ) is a British composer , arranger , pianist and musician .
Life
After studying at the Royal Academy of Music , John Peter Robinson worked as a pianist for Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar . He then played and toured as a pianist for bands by Eric Clapton , Al Jarreau and David Bowie , with whom he worked on his science fiction film The Man Who Fell From Heaven . However, it was not until the mid-1980s that he composed his first complete, independent film score with the action film Interceptor . From 1995 he also composed the international music for Jackie Chan's action films , including previously released films such as Police Story , Police Story 2 and Rumble in the Bronx , as well as the subsequent Jackie Chans Erstschlag and Mr. Nice Guy .
