Deaf to Our Prayers is the fourth studio album by the German metalcore band Heaven Shall Burn . It is the successor to the 2004 album Antigone and was released by Century Media Records in August 2006.

Emergence

The album was first announced in June 2006. The title Deaf to Our Prayers was chosen based on the poem The Silesian Weavers by Heinrich Heine . As another source of inspiration, the band called the piece The weavers of Gerhart Hauptmann . Musically, the album should be more aggressive than its predecessor Antigone .

The recordings were made in the Thuringian studio Rape Of Harmonies. The mixing took place in the Hansen Studios in Denmark.

At the end of July, the band released the song Stay the Course via the Internet. Counterweight followed on August 10th .

publication

In early November 2006 a music video for the song Counterweight was released .
