This discography is an overview of the musical works of the German melodic death metal / metalcore band Heaven Shall Burn from Saalfeld / Saale . So far, nine albums, as well as an EP, five split releases and a video album are part of the band's catalog. The last album, Of Truth and Sacrifice, was released in March 2020 and was the first of their albums to reach number one in the German album charts.
Overview
With Deaf to Our Prayers , published in 2006 , the band recorded their first chart entry in Germany . With Iconoclast (Part I: The Final Resistance) the musicians were able to record listings in Switzerland and Austria for the first time . Since then, every other official album of the group has been released in Germany , Austria and Switzerland . Heaven Shall Burn reached the highest chart position in Germany with veto , which entered at number 2. Wanderer achieved its highest ranking in Austria and Switzerland; in Germany, Wanderer took third place. So far, the band has largely been denied a chart entry outside of the German-speaking area. Iconoclast (Part I: The Final Resistance) , Invictus (Iconoclast III) and Veto only made one entry in the Heatseekers Charts in the United States . Invictus made it into the Greek , Veto and Wanderer in the Belgian album charts ( Wallonia and Flanders ).
Heaven Shall Burn covered several songs by popular punk and metal bands, most of which have been released. The only exceptions are the songs The Eternal Jihad by Day of Suffering , Street Fight by Third Choice and Whatever That Hurts by Tiamat , which either did not appear on an official album or only on a tribute album. Street fighting and Whatever That Hurts can be found on the bonus CD Too Good to Steal From by Wanderer .
