The Destiny Program is a German metalcore band from Husum in northern Germany .

history

Towards the end of 1997 five young musicians from Husum on the North Sea founded a band called "Destiny". In the following four years the focus was exclusively on songwriting and gaining experience in the live area until the band recorded their first demos . Some of the recorded songs found their place on several samplers. During this time there were also some lineup -Changes to the current occupation was found in May 2,001th The following summer the band went on a European tour for the first time for five weeks.

After the tour, Destiny began recording their first album, Diving into Eternity , which was released in January 2002 on Beniihana Records. Several tours followed. a. in Brazil , again in Europe and Japan . In August 2002, the band signed a record deal with Lifeforce Records , where the second album The Tracy Chapter was released in 2004 , which was mixed by Tue Madsen (including Heaven Shall Burn , Mnemic , The Haunted , Dark Tranquility ) and by Anders Fridén , the singer was produced by In Flames .

For copyright reasons the band renamed itself in 2006 to The dESTINY Program . Their last concert called Destiny took place at the “Rock am Berg” Festival 2006 in Menningen in Saarland. After being on the "Persistance" tour with Madball and Sick of It All at the end of 2006 , the label Nuclear Blast took notice of the band. So they signed a record deal there and released their third studio album Subversive Blueprint in 2007 .

In May 2008, the band Born from Pain in England on tour and played concerts in London and Plymouth .

The band also performed at the With Full Force Summer Open Air in June 2008 .

In April 2009 the band announced their new drummer Christian Bass (ex- Deadsoil ). In June and July, The Destiny Program were in the studio to record their new album, as yet untitled. The new album called "Gathas" was released on April 23, 2010 on Bastardized Recordings.

style

There was initially musically with the band even more hardcore - as metal elements to hear the music style changed on the album Subversive Blueprint in pure metalcore with occasional Thrash - riffs and discreetly held Groove Metal -Einflüssen.
