Fall of Serenity is a German melodic death metal band from Thuringia and Saxony .

history

The band was formed in 1998. In December 1998 the first pieces were recorded in Tripti's studio Rape of Harmonies . In January 2000, x83x Records released the recordings as Smoldering Doom on 12 "vinyl, and in July 2001 the album was released on CD on the British label Abstraction Communications .

Fall of Serenity recorded a split LP with Heaven Shall Burn in the summer of 1999 . On this record, the band covered the Heaven Shall Burn piece Partisan , which was later interpreted by Caliban on the split CD The Split Program .

In late 2000, a four-track demo was recorded that convinced Voice of Life Records to release the album Gray Man's Requiem in 2001 . In the same year the band went on tour with Beyond The Sixth Seal in Germany and later with Buried God in the Czech Republic.

In 2004, the third album, Royal Killing, was released by Metal Age Productions and distributed in the United States by Century Media . The band later played a tour with Dismember and Anata . The fourth album Bloodred Salvation was released on May 12, 2006 by Lifeforce Records , Fall of Serenity toured Europe with Hate Eternal and By Night , and in 2007 a Germany tour with Callejon .

In November 2007 the new album The Crossfire was released by Lifeforce Records, which was recorded again in the Rape-of-Harmonies -Studio and mixed and produced by Dan Swanö . In February 2008 a European tour was played with Dismember and Hatesphere . As a result, The Crossfire was placed in the German DJ metal / rock charts for several weeks.

Furthermore, the band played u. a. for the With Full Force and Summer Nights 2008.

After the already planned tour of Eastern Europe in the winter of 2008 was canceled without giving any reason, the band officially announced their breakup in February 2009.

Singer John Gahlert has been the bass player for the band Deadlock since April 2009 . In 2011 John Gahlert switched to vocals for Deadlock, so guitarist Ferdinand Rewicki took over bass for Deadlock.

Fall of Serenity announced on Facebook that they have reunited after a three-year hiatus and that a new album is due for 2012.
