Dean Butler (born May 20, 1956 in Prince George , British Columbia , Canada ) is a Canadian-American film and television actor and documentary producer.

Life

Private life

Raised in Piedmont , California , Dean Butler studied communications at the University Of The Pacific in Stockton, California. He is married to the actress Katherine Cannon , known as "Felice Martin" in " Beverly Hills 90210 ". They met when Katherine successfully auditioned for a role on the Michael Landon- created and produced television series Father Murphy .

The actor currently resides in Los Angeles , California with his wife .

Career

His acting career began with a small part in the TV series "Streets of San Francisco". He played the first leading role in 1976 on the side of Stephanie Zimbalist in the television film "Forever", based on the novel by Judy Blume.

He became famous for his portrayal of " Almanzo Wilder ", husband of " Laura Ingalls Wilder " (played by Melissa Gilbert ) in the NBC television series " Our Little Farm " produced by Michael Landon .
