Dean O'Gorman
Dean Lance O'Gorman (born December 1, 1976 in Auckland , New Zealand ) is a New Zealand actor .
Life
He began acting at the age of 14 and has appeared in numerous New Zealand and Australian productions. In the well-known American fantasy series Hercules and Xena - The Warrior Princess , which were filmed in New Zealand , he appeared in various roles. He has also appeared in the series Farscape , Moonlight and McLeod's Daughters . In 2011, he got a lead role in the fantasy series The Almighty Johnsons . On May 1, 2011, director Peter Jackson announced on Facebook that O'Gorman would play the role of Fíli in the film adaptation of Tolkien's The Hobbit .
In 2015 O'Gorman showed a series of posed photographs by the artist entitled No Man's Land in the Braubachfive gallery before the B3 Biennale of Moving Images in Frankfurt am Main .
Dean O'Gorman graduated from Rangitoto College and holds a black belt in karate . In 2019 he became the father of a daughter.
