Deanna Dunagan

Deanna Dunagan (born May 25, 1940 in Monahans , Texas ) is an American actress .

Life

Dunagan was born in Monahans , Texas in 1940, the daughter of Kathlyn Cosper and John Conrad Dunagan . She holds a degree in music education from the University of Texas, Austin . She also studied at Trinity University in Texas at the Dallas Theater Center and then began her acting career.

Dunagan made her Broadway debut in George Bernard Shaw's Man and Superman in 1979 at the Circle in the Square Theater . In 1981 she starred in Children of a Lesser God . During the national tour, she also came to Chicago . She liked the city so much that she moved there and has lived there ever since. In addition to her roles in numerous theater productions for which she has received 3 Joseph Jefferson Awards so far, Dunagan also played in a number of films and television series. She was most recently seen in M. Night Shyamalan's horror comedy The Visit (2015). For her performance in the film, she received a Fright Meter Award in the "Best Supporting Actress" category.
