Debby Stam (born July 24, 1984 in Zaanstad , today Debby Stam-Pilon ) is a Dutch volleyball player .

Career

Stam has been playing volleyball at home VV Zaanstad since 1991. In 2001 she came to the first division club AMVJ Amstelveen . In 2003 she moved to VC Weert within the Dutch league . In 2004 Stam went to Martinus Amstelveen , with whom she became champion and cup winner in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Then Stam moved abroad: Belgorod University (2008 Russian Cup victory), VakıfBank Spor Kulübü , MKS Muszyna (2011 Polish championship and cup victory) and Azerrail Baku were her stations. After a baby break, she played in France for Rocheville Le Cannet in 2015/16 .

Stam played 347 times for the Dutch senior team . She took part in several European championships and the 2006 World Cup. Stam won the 2007 Grand Prix with the Netherlands and was in the final of the 2009 European Championships . At the 2015 European Championships in his own country , Stam again won the silver medal. At the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, she finished fourth.

Private

Stam has been married to Paul Pilon since 2010. They have a son Mees (born in October 2014) and a daughter Zazie (born in April 2018).
