Deborah Van Valkenburgh (born August 29, 1952 in Schenectady , New York , USA ) is an American film and theater actress .

Life

Van Valkenburgh began her career on Broadway in the musical adaptation " Hair " . Further stage appearances followed. She made her film debut in 1979 in the thriller The Warriors . However, Van Valkenburgh only achieved her breakthrough in the sitcom Too Close For Comfort, which was produced from 1980 to 1985 . In the early 1980s , she briefly took classes as a nurse at New York University of Social Work , but remained faithful to acting . Today Deborah Van Valkenburgh lives in Los Angeles .
