Deceptive Bends is the fifth album by the rock band 10cc and was released in the UK in April 1977.

background

The departure of Kevin Godley and Lol Creme in 1976 almost marked the end of 10cc. But Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman continued the band's success with the help of drummer Paul Burgess . All of the songs on the album were written by Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman. The cover design was again done by Hipgnosis .

criticism

Donald A. Guarisco of Allmusic wrote that the only time when Deceptive Bends was n't enough is the lengthy Medley Feel the Benefit . The album is "the finest achievement of 10cc's post-Godley and Creme lineup", the best of the post-Godley and Creme era. He awarded four out of five stars.

Chart success

The album reached number 2 on the LP chart in the UK. In the US, the album landed at number 31 on the Billboard LP chart .

The title Good Morning Judge was extracted from the album . The single reached number 5 on the singles chart in Great Britain and only number 69 in the USA.
