Eric Stewart

Eric Michael Stewart (born January 20, 1945 in Droylsden , Greater Manchester ) is a British rock singer , guitarist and songwriter .

He was a member of 10cc and has worked with Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders , Ramases , Hotlegs , Paul McCartney , Agnetha Fältskog , Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson , among others .

Eric Stewart was the first after John Lennon, with whom ex-Beatle Paul McCartney entered into a songwriting partnership on equal terms (as opposed to temporary co-authors Linda McCartney and Denny Laine). The McCartney albums Press to Play (1986) contain a total of six pieces by the composer duo McCartney / Stewart. Together with Gouldmann, they also contributed the song Don't Break the Promises on the 10cc reunion album Meanwhile (1992).
