Delareyville is a city in the South African province of Northwest ( Northwest ). It is the administrative seat of the municipality of Tswaing in the district of Ngaka Modiri Molema .

In 2011 Delareyville had 10,630 residents. Most of the residents speak Setswana .

history

The place was founded in 1914 and named after the Buren general Koos de la Rey , who died in the same year .

Economy and Transport

Delareyville is an agricultural center. Mainly corn , peanuts and sunflowers are grown.

Delareyville is on the N14 trunk road , which connects Vryburg in the southwest and Coligny in the northeast. The R377 leads west towards Stella , the R507 connects Setlagole in the north via Delareyville with Ottosdal in the east. The R506 starts south of Delareyville and leads to Schweizer-Reneke .

Delareyville has a train station on the Coligny-Schweizer-Reneke-Pudimoe route, which is served by freight traffic. The Delareyville Airfield ( ICAO code FADL) is located east of the city and is not served by scheduled flights.
