Delia Ephron (born July 12, 1944 in New York City ) is an American screenwriter and writer .

Life

Delia Ephron is one of the daughters of Henry and Phoebe Ephron . One of her sisters is the director Nora Ephron , with whom she also worked on several projects.

Before her career in film scripting, she wrote several novels, for adults and teenagers, humor books and essays, and she also worked as a journalist. In 1992 she was involved in a script for the first time and the film Showtime - Help, My Mom Is a Star , was made, which was directed by her sister Nora. This was followed by four more films every two years, which Nora directed. Delia Ephron was also involved as executive producer on these.

The script for the literary adaptation Eine für 4 (2005) was created without any further family collaboration.

She has been married to the screenwriter Jerome Kass since 1982.

The Casting Society of America honored Nora and Delia Ephron with a Golden Apple Award. In addition, the two siblings were nominated for the Golden Raspberry in the category Worst Screenplay in 2006. She received this nomination in connection with her last joint production in love with a witch from 2005.
