The Delibos (also Deliboz ) is a horse breed of Azerbaijan . He is also known as the Delibos Azerbaijani, the Kazakh of Azerbeijan, or the Azerbaijan horse.

Exterior
The Delibos has a short, dry head with a broad forehead and a narrow nose. It has a heavy short neck and a long back with a good back line. The legs are clean and well proportioned, and the cannon bones are stronger than other breeds. The average height is 1.52 m; the belt depth is 1.72 m and the cannon bone circumference 19.4 cm.

In Azerbaijan, the Delibos is used for pastoral work. Delibo horses are just as fast in races as karabaghs . They are unbalanced and their preferred gaits are rack and pass.
The Delibos horses are very productive. In the mountains you cover 45 to 55 kilometers per day with a load of 115 to 130 kilograms or 70 kilometers under one rider. The best times in races are 1:56 minutes over 1.6 km and 2:55 minutes over 2.4 km.
The core of the breed's population currently consists of the descendants of the Tersker stallions Tselostat and Pygmalion; this creates a risk of inbreeding. Dashyuz stud owns the 140 most typical Deliboz horses and broodmares with a high proportion of Tersker blood.
Breeding history
The Delibos goes back to the Azerbaijanis, whom he has almost completely displaced today. Due to the strong influence of the Karabagh and the Arab , the independence of the race has almost been lost. There are efforts in Azerbaijan to breed the breed more pure again.
The Deliboz originated in the Azerbaijani rayons (comparable to a district) Qazax , Ağstafa and Tovuz and in the adjacent areas of Georgia and Armenia .
In the 1930s and 1940s, the Deliboz horse was bred out of the local horse population and refined with Arab and Karabagh stallions.
