Demir Duric ( Serbian spelling Demir Đurić ; born November 18, 1976 in Heidelberg ) is a former Serbian football player and current coach .

Career

player

Duric played in the youth of TSV Handschuhsheim before moving to Eintracht Frankfurt in 1992 .

From Eintracht he switched to the professional team at FSV Frankfurt . Frankfurt played in the 2. Bundesliga and Duric came on several short appearances under coach Klaus Gerster , even after changing to Jörg Hambückers on the sidelines , Duric was regularly substituted on.

In the 1994/95 season he played 17 games and had not scored a goal as an attacker. Frankfurt took the last place in the final table and was relegated. Duric had to stay with FSV for another year despite an offer from FC St.Pauli because he had not received approval to move.

The move to the north to FC St. Pauli worked for the 1996/97 season, with the Hamburgers he was part of the professional team and, after his injury, also with the amateurs for short appearances.

In the 1996/97 season he played a game in the Bundesliga , on matchday 30 he was substituted on for Christian Springer in the 84th minute of the 3-0 defeat against VfB Stuttgart .

He then moved to SV Darmstadt 98 , with whom he was champion of the Oberliga Hessen 1998/99 .

Since his injured knee was no longer able to withstand the strain, this was his last stop as a professional athlete.

Trainer

Duric began his coaching career as a player coach at Türkspor Heidelberg, with whom he was promoted to the Heidelberg district league in 2004/05.

At VfR Kronau, he formed an average regional league team into a top team, and one year after his activity the team rose to the regional league of Central Baden.

The ASV / DJK Eppelheim took over Duric in early 2007 and led the club in the 2008/2009 season from the Heidelberg district league to the Rhein-Neckar regional league, where he worked as a coach until November 2011.

He then took over responsibility for his youth club TSV Handschuhsheim, where he directed on the sidelines until the end of the 2014 season.

In the 2014/15 season he moved to SC Walldorf Safakspor, with whom he was promoted at the end of the 2014/15 season.

Since the 2015/16 season he has been training his compatriots at FK Srbija Mannheim, and in his first season he was promoted to the Mannheim district league with the club.

At the end of the 2016/17 season, Duric ended his successful work at FK Srbija Mannheim after disagreements with the board.

For the 2017/18 season Duric took over the U19 from VFR Mannheim (Verbandsliga Nordbaden)
