Demydiwka ( Ukrainian Демидівка ; Russian Демидовка Demidowka ) is a village in the Ukrainian Poltava Oblast with about 600 inhabitants (2001).
The village is the administrative center of the eponymous district municipality with about 1200 inhabitants in the east of Rajon Reshetylivka to which even the villages Andrijiwka ( Андріївка , ⊙ ) with about 20 residents, Lytwyniwka ( Литвинівка , ⊙ ) with about 250 inhabitants, Nowa Dykanka ( Нова Диканька , ⊙ ) with about 50 inhabitants and Pustowary ( Пустовари , ⊙ ) with about 320 inhabitants.
The village is located on the banks of the Wilchowa Howtwa ( Вільхова Говтва ), an 86 km long left tributary of the Howtwa , 11 km east of the Rajon center Reshetylivka and 34 km west of the Oblast center Poltava . North of the village which runs highway M 03 / E 40 from Kharkiv to Kiev .
