Langaskens was in 1984 at the junior tournament of the French Open through his victories over Thierry Champion and Patrick McEnroe in the round of 16. The following year he became a professional tennis player. His career mainly played out in the men's doubles on the ATP Challenger Tour . After a few finals, including 1988 with Arnaud Boetsch in Casablanca and 1989 with Paul Haarhuis in Porto and Raleigh , he won his two double titles in August 1989. He and Xavier Daufresne won as local heroes in Knokke and Odrimont . He reached his highest ranking in the tennis world rankings in 1988 with position 334 in singles and 1989 with position 157 in doubles. He was never able to qualify for a Grand Slam tournament.
Langaskens played eight singles and seven doubles games for the Belgian Davis Cup team from 1987 to 1990 . He achieved 6: 2 wins in singles, but the balance in doubles was negative 3: 4.
