Denise Kölliker (born November 4, 1970 in Wolfwil ) is a former Swiss volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career

Hall

Kölliker began her career in the hall in 1984 with the juniors in Rothrist . Three years later she played for the first time in the first division at Oftringen . After four years in the National League B at Moudon , she signed the A-League team Montana Lucerne in 1994 . After a season she moved to the team at the University of Basel .

Beach

In 1996 Kölliker played her first beach tournaments with Marianne Bolinger . The duo finished ninth in the world series tournament in Osaka . From the tournament in Salvador da Bahia , Kölliker competed with Katia Neeser , and in 1997 she completed her first open tournaments. She won the Swiss championship alongside Annalea Hartmann in 1998 . In 1999 she competed with Karine Scheuerpflug-Aeby at the World Championships in Marseille , but did not get past last place. In the same year she was third in the Swiss championship with Yvonne Schnegg .

In 2000 she formed a new duo with Karin Trüssel. At the European Championships in Getxo, the Swiss were eliminated early with two defeats against Greek duos. A year later they were only defeated in the fourth round after three sets by their compatriots Nicole Schnyder-Benoit and Simone Kuhn , before they were eliminated by the Dutch Kadijk / Leenstra . Before that, they had failed in the group matches at the World Cup in Klagenfurt to the US duo Walsh / May-Treanor and the Bulgarian Jantschulowa sisters. They came third nationally. In 2004 Kölliker played with Amélia Moreira .
