The Denison River is a river in the southwest of the Australian state of Tasmania .
geography
River course
The river has its source on the western slopes of Mount King William II , which is in the King William Range in the northeast part of the Franklin Gordon Wild Rivers National Park . It first flows south on the west side of the mountain range and then turns south-southwest to accompany the Prince of Wales Range on its south-east side. At its southern end it turns to the southwest and flows west of the Nichols Range into the Gordon River .
On its entire course, the Denison River flows through unpopulated areas in the national park.
