Deniz Nadia Özer (born March 2, 1987 in Flörsheim am Main ) is a German - Turkish soccer player .

Career

After a season in the 2nd Bundesliga with the second team of 1. FFC Frankfurt, Özer played in the 1st Bundesliga for FSV Frankfurt , VfL Wolfsburg and SG Wattenscheid 09 . She left the latter in the winter break of the 2007/08 season after just one year and joined the lower-class TGM SV Jügesheim in her Hessian homeland for a half-season . As a result, Özer played first class again for SG Essen-Schönebeck , but only made 24 league appearances and two games in the DFB Cup in three seasons . In summer 2011 she moved back to 1. FFC Frankfurt , where she was again part of the second team. In the 2011/12 season she was used in all 22 league games of her team and scored ten goals. After two years with the second team of 1. FFC Frankfurt, she moved to the Regionalliga-Südwest-Verein TSV Schott Mainz . With the first women's team of TSV Schott Mainz, she played an outstanding season as captain: Without losing points, the team won the championship prematurely on April 12, 2014 due to the large gap to second in the table and secured the "double" by winning the Association Cup Southwest. But the joy of the supposed promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga did not last long, as those responsible had obviously missed the deadline to apply for the license by a day.

Personal

Her younger brother Can Cemil Özer (* 1990) is also active as a football player.
