Deniz Dogan (born October 20, 1979 in Lübeck ) is a former German - Turkish soccer player and today's coach .
Career
As a player
Dogan began his career at Eichholzer SV , a club in his birthplace Lübeck. In 2001 he moved to the Regionalliga Nord to the amateurs of Hamburger SV . After one season he went to the second division VfL Osnabrück , with whom he was relegated to the regional league. For the 2004/05 season, Dogan moved to league competitor VfB Lübeck , where he was a regular for three seasons.
On June 1, 2007, Dogan initially signed a two-year contract with Eintracht Braunschweig . In the 2010/11 season he was with Eintracht champions of the 3rd division and rose to the 2nd Bundesliga . On the 36th matchday he suffered a broken fibula in the home game against VfB Stuttgart II. On October 14, 2011 he made his comeback in the Eintracht team in the second division away game at SC Paderborn 07 . In the 2012/13 season he rose to second place behind Hertha BSC with Eintracht Braunschweig in the Bundesliga . In this he made his debut on August 10, 2013 (1st matchday) in the 0-1 defeat in the home game against Werder Bremen . In the 2013/14 season , in which Eintracht was relegated at the end, Dogan made 23 appearances. At the beginning of the new season in the second division Dogan came on four missions, but then had to wait until the 22nd matchday for a new mission. He then played two more games and then ended his professional career.
From the 2015/16 season he is playing assistant coach of the second team at Braunschweiger Eintracht. In October 2015, Dogan briefly moved back into the weakened squad of the Eintracht second division team and made his last competitive appearance for the professionals on October 16, 2015.
As a trainer
After Dogan had already been active as a playing assistant coach in the second team (U23) of Eintracht Braunschweig for three seasons , he took over the team for the 2018/19 season , which was forcibly relegated to the Oberliga Niedersachsen due to the descent of the professionals in the 3rd division had to, as the head coach of Henning Bürger . He received a contract with a term until June 30, 2020. After the season, the U23 was canceled from the game. Dogan then trained the Eintracht U19s in the A-Junior Regional League North in the 2019/20 season.

His twin brother Hüseyin Dogan is also a football player and coach and is active at SV Sparta Werlte .
