Denizli ( Kurdish : Pulyanê jori) is a village in the district of Pazarcık in the Turkish province of Kahramanmaraş . The village is located about 20 kilometers southwest of Pazarcık and 25 kilometers southeast of the provincial capital Kahramanmaraş .

history

The name of the village was Yukarı Pulyanlı until the 1960s. This was later changed to Denizli. About 40 kilometers away is the village of Aşaği Pulyanlı. The inhabitants of these two villages belong to the Kurdish tribe of the Sinemilli.

Religion and culture

The inhabitants are Kurdish Alevis . and speak Kurmancî. The pronunciation of the e as a and the a as o is characteristic of this dialect. This dialect is mainly spoken in the regions of Maras, Antep, Adiyaman, Urfa, Malatya, Konya, Sivas and in Syrian Afrin. In Denizli (Pulyanlı) there has been an Alevi assembly and church (Cemevi) since 2010.

The village does not have a school. The students go to school in the neighboring village of Seyrantepe.
