Dennis Deutschkämer

Dennis Deutschkämer (born December 16, 1988 in Lübbecke ) is a German politician of the Pirate Party . From 2014 to 2017 he was on the state board of the Pirate Party of North Rhine-Westphalia and was its chairman from November 2016 to 2017. Since the federal party congress on 17./18. November 2018 in Düsseldorf he is the deputy federal chairman of the Pirate Party Germany .

Deutschkämer grew up in the Blasheim district of Lübbeck . He first attended the secondary school Vlotho, switched to the secondary school Vlotho in 2002 and graduated in 2006 with the technical college entrance qualification . At the August Griese Vocational College, he completed his high school diploma and training as an IT assistant in 2009.

At that time he was employed by the Herford district as a temporary worker for IT systems. He then trained as an IT specialist for system integration at the Herford district from 2009 to 2012. In the same year he began studying at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences - "Technical Computer Science" department, which he broke off after four semesters in 2014. From 2014 to 2016 he worked at einsnulleins GmbH , a subsidiary of Synaxon AG , as a system and network technician.

From November 2016 to May 2017 Deutschkämer worked as a personal assistant to Lukas Markus Lamla , member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . Deutschkämer has been a project manager at dimedis GmbH since July 2017 .

Political career

He joined the Pirate Party in February 2013 and ran for the 2013 federal election as a direct candidate in the Herford district. He received 2.9% of the first vote in constituency 133 .

In April 2014, he ran at the state party conference in Bielefeld for the vacant position of assessor in the state executive committee of North Rhine-Westphalia, but with 42.95% did not reach the necessary quorum of 50% and was therefore subject to Daniel Rasokat . In August 2014, Deutschkämer ran again at the state party conference in Kleve for the office of assessor for the regular election of the state executive and was elected to the state executive with Daniel Rasokat and Bianca Windham . At the same time he was also the deputy chairman of the Herford district association. After three resignations in the state executive, an unscheduled state party conference (aLPT) was convened in November 2014. Here Deutschkämer ran for the vacated position of political manager, but was defeated by Manfred Schramm with 33.95%.

In October 2015 Deutschkämer ran for deputy chairman in Aachen and was elected second deputy chairman with 69.72%. At the assembly meeting of the reserve list for the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2017 , he reached 10th place in the list in September 2016. At the fourth state party conference in Dortmund in 2016 , Deutschkämer successfully ran (60.2%) for the chairmanship of the Pirate Party of North Rhine-Westphalia .

At the second state party conference of the North Rhine-Westphalia Pirate Party in 2017, Deutschkämer was able to successfully oppose a motion of no confidence. At the third state party conference of the North Rhine-Westphalia Pirate Party in December 2017, Deutschkämer withdrew his candidacy as state chairman and announced that he wanted to take a break after three years as a state executive.

In 2018, Dennis Deutschkämer was elected deputy chairman of the Pirate Party at the second federal party conference in 2018. In 2019 he was confirmed for a further term in office.

Personal

Dennis Deutschkämer is single and lived in Vlotho until October 2018 . He has been living in Cologne since October 2018 .
