Dennis Andrew Kelly (* 16th January 1990 in Chicago Heights , Illinois ) is an American American Footballer in the National Football League (NFL). He plays for the Tennessee Titans as an offensive tackle . Before that he was already under contract with the Philadelphia Eagles .

college

Kelly, who comes from a football-loving family - his older brother Tim works as a coach, currently (as of May 2020) he is offensive coordinator for the Houston Texans - attended Purdue University and successfully played college football for their team, the Boilermakers . Between 2009 and 2011 he played a total of 42 games, 37 times as a starter .

NFL

Philadelphia Eagles

In the NFL Draft 2012, he was in the fifth round as a total of 153 by the Philadelphia Eagles selected and received a four-year contract 2,288,000 US dollars . In his rookie season he played 13 games, ten times as a starter, where he was used in various positions on the offensive line . In 2016, Kelly moved to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham . He was used in all 16 games, where he not only played as a tackle, left and right, but was also called up as an additional tight end . In the following seasons he mainly held various positions in the offensive line and was used less and less as a tight end. In 2019, however, he was able to catch a pass from Ryan Tannehill in the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the end zone and thus achieve his first touchdown .
