Dennis Tretow (born May 30, 1983 in Rendsburg ) is a German handball player who plays in the handball Oberliga Hamburg - Schleswig-Holstein for the HG Hamburg-Barmbek .

Career

Today's aircraft mechanic Tretow moved from the A-Juniors team of TSV Büsum to the then regional league team Bramstedter TS in 2002 . In his first two seasons in the Regionalliga Tretow occupied with the Bramstedtern 2002/03 first a place in the lower midfield, in the following year a place in the upper midfield. In 2004 he then moved to VfL Bad Schwartau, with whom he was able to permanently mix in the top group of the Regionalliga Nordost in the next few seasons. In the 2005/06 and 2006/07 seasons of the Regionalliga Tretow took first place in the list of goalscorers. While he was able to achieve an average of 9.3 goals with 241 goals in 2006, he was able to achieve 270 goals in the following season, which made up more than a quarter of all Schwartau goals.

After the Schwartauer failed with their promotion efforts, they managed to get promoted to the 2nd handball league by defeating the second team of SG Flensburg-Handewitt in 2008 . This season, Tretow was ranked 6th in the scorers list of the entire regional league, still first in the club's internal ranking.

In his first season as a second division player, the Schwartauer immediately occupied a midfield position that was far from the relegation zone. Dennis Tretow finished second in the scorers list that season with 233 goals behind Marcus Hock .

The player's contract originally expired at the end of the 2008/09 season, after which he received offers from several clubs in the 1st Bundesliga at the beginning of the 2008/09 season. However, he decided to extend his contract with VfL Bad Schwartau. After the 2014/15 season he ended his professional career, and in July 2015 he joined the top division HG Hamburg-Barmbek . With Barmbek he rose to the 3rd division in 2017 . After Barmbek was relegated to the league in 2018, Tretow only appears in an emergency.

Tretow also played beach handball with the sand foxes.

Special games

The most important game in the left winger's career was the game against TBV Lemgo on October 21, 2009 in the third round of the DHB Cup . Tretow scored 12 of all 57 goals and was thus the best goalscorer of the game and also contributed playfully together with Jan Schult to the success over the first division side. He scored the goal two minutes before the end to make it 28:28, before Peter Kasza was able to score the game-winning 29:28.
