Jan Schult (born September 22, 1986 in Hamburg ) is a German handball player who plays in the 2nd handball Bundesliga at VfL Lübeck-Schwartau .

After Schult played at HSG Henstedt-Ulzburg for twelve years , he moved to HSV Hamburg in 2004 . The backcourt player had a sponsorship license from his first season and initially played mainly at AMTV Hamburg . From the 2007/08 season he went hunting for goals alongside HSV for VfL Bad Schwartau . Since February 2009 he has only played for VfL, which has been playing as VfL Lübeck-Schwartau since the 2017/18 season .

Schult played 33 Bundesliga games for HSV Hamburg, in which he scored 56 goals.

As of the 2018/19 season, Schult will be working as an assistant coach for the A-Jugend from VfL Bad Schwartau.
